We invite participants of the Alumni Festival to discover the work of the Biobank of Lithuanian Population and Rare Disorders at the Faculty of Medicine, Vilnius University, and to become participants in Lithuania’s only population-based biobank.

A population biobank is like a library of the nation’s health data, helping researchers better understand how diseases develop, what causes them, and how they can be prevented, diagnosed, and treated. Joining this initiative is simple: all you need to do is provide your consent for your anonymised health information to be used for scientific research and donate a small blood sample of 50 mL. The donation is intended for those who see their future in Lithuania. To be eligible, a valid resident status and a personal identification number are required.
