Human physiology workshop: what can your body tell you?
How quickly does your brain react? How strong are your muscles? How do your heart and body respond to different challenges? In this interactive human physiology workshop, festival participants will have the opportunity to become research participants for a moment and explore first-hand how the human body works.
You will measure muscle strength and heart rate, record the electrical activity of the heart (ECG) and observe brain activity (EEG). Together, we will explore what these signals can reveal about the body – how the nervous system controls movement, how the brain processes information, how the heart responds to stress and why each person’s physiology is unique.
This hands-on and engaging activity is suitable for both children and adults. No prior knowledge is required – just curiosity and a desire to discover more about your own body.
